The people who bring you LANARK Wallcovering are committed to helping build a more verdant and sustainable world. Together with our manufacturing partner for LANARK Wallcovering – OMNOVA Solutions Inc. – we are working to recover and recycle used vinyl wallcovering materials.
Participation in our Wallcovering Reclamation Program is easy and uncomplicated. Join our efforts to help create a sustainable future by following the simple steps outlined below. It's that easy. You'll help keep old vinyl wallcovering out of landfills. And you might even earn some LEED credits in the process.
Step One
Let us know that you are planning an interior renovation project and will be removing and replacing old vinyl wallcovering. Provide us with a few details and together we will determine if that old wallcovering is eligible for our Wallcovering Reclamation Program. In most cases, you won't even need to provide us with a sample of the old wallcovering.
Step Two
Once it is determined that your old wallcovering meets the necessary requirements (see below), we will send you return labels, packaging materials and a handy shipping checklist. Simply package the old wallcovering and send it in.¹ As an added convenience to you, installation trim, scrap and unused materials from the new installation also can be returned for recycling.
Step Three
So what becomes of your old wallcovering? Eventually it will be used in the production of new wallcovering or other useful building products, such as shower pan liner or roof flashing. However, if analysis finds mold or other contaminants, the wallcovering will be properly disposed of in a landfill.
And please let us know if you would like a letter describing how your old wallcovering is eventually used.
Program Eligibility Requirements
• The old wallcovering cannot contain visible mold or other contaminants.
• Wallcovering must be fabric backed vinyl or ECORE™ construction.²
• You must place an order for new LANARK Wallcovering.
• You must pay the return shipping expense for the old wallcovering.
¹ Your old wallcovering will be shipped to OMNOVA Solutions Inc., our manufacturing partner for LANARK Wallcovering, for recycling.
